Pre-primary :

CURRICULUM BASED ON C.B.S.E.

PRE-PRIMARY (NURSERY TO KINDERGARTEN):

We aim to provide a safe, stimulating and challenging place for your child to begin his or he r early year’s education. This is a big step for most children and we aim to help them develop to their full potential as individuals and as members of a larger group. Young children learn and experience through carefully structured play activities. Their intellectual, social, emotional and physical development will be catered for by our skilled and caring staff through a broad, balanced curriculum and co-curricular activities. The early year’s curriculum is based on six areas of learning which are personal and social development; language and literacy; mathematics; physical development; knowledge and understanding of the world and creative development. These goals are achieved in various ways incorporating structured play activities, set tasks and teacher/adult interaction through creating opportunities for independent learning.

Primary (I TO IV):

In the early grades, the focus is more on ‘theme based learning’ where various subjects are incorporated into a central theme. The latest strategies are adopted in the teaching and learning process so that students are keenly involved in their academic activities and enjoy their learning. Field trips, projects and presentations allow for formative assessment along with formal class assessments and tests. The activities are closely monitored and structured to allow for student creativity and self-learning and at the same time lay a strong foundation for theC.B.S.E. course.

Secondary (V-VII):

Focus is on providing students with international standards academic education that gives them the ability to be competitive in the outside world. The curriculum is designed to prepare them for career readiness and offers everything from academic to experiential environment to creative arts learning. A lot of value is given to all-round development.Hence, emphasis is given to physical education, school activities, field trips, annual competitions and school events.

Remedial Support:

“If I can’t learn the way you teach will you teach me the way I can learn?”
Remedial support in the core areas is provided to students who have specific learning difficulties. Teachers with the aid of special educators devote time beyond classroom instruction to support such needy children to bring out the best in them.
• Communication skills needed by the pupils to interact with peers and with the teachers to enhance learning
• Projects and presentations to demonstrate the thrill and innovations of learning
• Character development through tolerance and accepting others views and opinions
